Mike B from Houston, TX asks:
My question is somewhat generic. Why are all the 230v welders that I have seen, use the 2pole 3wire plugs and not the 3pole 4wire plug? Wouldn't using a NEUTRAL wire in the circuit be preferable to using the GROUND wire as the neutral? I realize they both end up at the same place, but there must be a reason the neutral wire is used for major appliances. Thanks Mike B
