Stephen R from Mobile,Alabama asks:
To whom him it may concern, I am an electrician by trade, and what size break would I need if running the welder at 120 volts, single pole breaker or 230 volts two pole breaker. Normally at the higher voltages the amperage requiments are lower due to the higher voltage. And higher for the lower voltage. One must size the wire with the right breaker for the demands of the equipment your are supplying power to. The data plate should read “120/230 vac , 23.2/16.7 amps and 50/60 HZ for hertz. This would tell me what I need to know. This is just an example, but is what I am looking for. Thank you, Stephen
