Haven't got to use it a whole lot but what I have I love it. Very clear. The headgear is the most comfortable I've ever worn.

I'm going into welding school and I can tell you that the auto-darkening and the large window are perfect for learning. it's pricey but well worth it.

The weld helmet is very comfortable. The headgear is easy to adjust, and very comfortable. The lens is awesome. The new clearlite lens is extremely clear and easy to see when not welding. Excellent product and great price! Have told all my co-workers and they are considering this product as well.

I've only used it one time but the electronics seem excellent. I like the light weight of the hood but would trade a little more weight for more rigid structure. Band is ok but top straps have come unbuckled once already. I expect to have to wrap them with electrical tape to keep them in place. Summary Good eye protection but structure is only ok.

Much superior to our old Jackson helmets. So much more comfortable. Also the new lenses allow much better visibility when in the unshaded view. Great value too. You cant go wrong with Miller

I'm still getting use to the quality of this helmet. I am use to the cheaper ones because I am not a professional welder, but this was a great investment for a hobby or professional welder. Great item at a great price..

Upgraded from a big box store non-adjustable auto darkening helmet. Served me well enough for years but the shade always seemed too dark for most of what I do.. basically could see the puddle and nothing else. Debated going with the new offshore brand to save some money, but the short warranty and debatable quality steered me away. The first time using the new Miller made me wish I had bought one years ago.. literally night and day difference. I'm just a hobby/home welder so this helmet covers everything I'd ever want or need out in the garage.

Absolutely love this hood, it has a large window and is super clear. The bands are easily adjustable and very operator friendly. The only draw back that I came across was the on/off button, to turn it off one has to press and hold the button down for a few seconds, which is great, but to turn it on one just has to quickly press the button and it is instantly on. I found this to be a problem since any object that you set your helmet on can easily to the hood on and the helmet stays on without one knowing, which depletes the battery in the future. Other than that, amazing helmet.

I never realized what I was missing out on by using a cheap helmet. The viewing window on this Miller feels huge and is absolutely crystal clear. The head band is very customizable and super comfortable. Instead of a single circular band you slide down around your forehead this digital elite has multiple bands and a pivoting spring loaded backstrap that allows you to put it on like a baseball cap. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

Well I've bought from the Classic to Digital Performance. And now I have the Digital Elite Clear Light. I gotta say I keep getting impressed even more now with the Digital Elite, I get a bigger picture, clearer puddles, 4 sensors, and best of all a blue hue. I love the head piece it hugs thy skull snugly if that's a word lol. I mig weld roll cages so on round tubing its challenging in some positions as is welding around or having to duck down at weird angels those 4 sensors kick in nicely, I don't get flash attacks and that's something I've been struggling with for 3 years till now. Best hood I've owned yet.

I don't think there is anything I can say bad about this hood.

Can't say much other than it darkens when it detects an arc and the viewable area is large enough to see what you're doing. Best of all, the price isn't much higher than a lesser Hobart and you get the ClearView Optics plus a generous rebate.

Had to replace my 13 year old elite and it's not available anymore so I went with the digital Ellie.

Product appears to be a first class helmet for an old man like me. I did have to order a couple of sets of cheater lens for it to really do what I want. Plan on using it with my Miller Plasma cutter, Miller Bobcat and Miller wire welder.

Love it. I have been welding for fifty years and have had a few auto darking hoods. This thing is almost like welding with sun glasses. I can see the puddle and surrounding area so much better.

I had a Miller Performance series helmet I used almost every day for the past 10 years. It was a great helmet but low amp TIG or welding around or behind tubes made it undarken and blind you temporarily. This helmet with X mode fixes that plus the Clear View technology is amazing. I can see so much better and my welds look better. The weld puddle is so much more visible. The headgear is different but to me more comfortable than the previous design. I only wish I had bought one sooner.

CyberWeld's prices were way lower than anyone else on this Miller Elite hood. Shipping was fast. Like many other reviewers, the largest gripe about the helmet is the headgear being very weak, no matter how much you tighten the side nuts to provide extra tension when the hood is in the UP position. The slightest posture change or movement sends the hood down a few notches - or completely. THIS, was frustrating. Although, my frustration was my own mistake. There is a definitive UP-Position positive click that you must engage when raising the hood. As with all things made of plastic, I am cautious not to push the limits of its own dexterity for fear of breaking something. When you raise the hood up, it stops, then add another few pounds of pressure and it will positively throw into an obvious UP notch that keeps the hood in place while you bend down and move your project around. I have read around 20+ reviews about this exact issue with people furious that Miller would put out such an awful headgear with this hood. Not the case at all. The headgear is comfortable and operable.

This helmet provides the best vision of the actual welding operation that I have experienced. Failing eyesight has always been a problem with my welding effort and this helmet "turns on the light" and enables good visibility of the welding puddle.

Ive got two of these helmets one for work one for home they are very reliable I use them for strictly tig welding.

I had an earlier version of the Elite and was very happy with it but this new version is much more user friendly..

Optics are better than the previous elite. Fits on head great. Flip stops are improved. Very pleased!

I'm a weekender and not a pro but the helmet I was using before this on was from a big box tool seller. I was tired of being flashed while in anything other than a horizontal position. I've been a welder for 25 yrs.. work outside on construction projects in the sun. Have had helmet for couple yrs. Lens works ok.. althought the xmode didnt work very good its still ok. This is the worst headgear ive ever used. Will not stay up and slips off when looking down with shell up. Never got it to work right.. going to try a speedglass.
