Great hood
August 14, 2016
Great for getting into tight spots but is a very hot hood. Not much room for the head to escape with it right up on my face.

Enjoying this mask
July 28, 2016
I've had this mask for a few weeks and it's working great. It's definitely a different welding experience having the lenses closer to your face.
Pros
  • Small, compact, easy to use
Cons
  • Even with the anti fog they still fog up.

Great for welding repairs off road

I have an on board welder in my jeep and this works great in tight spaces and odd angles. Excellent field of vision and clearly a high quality unit. Much improved over fixed or adjustable googles.
Cons
  • Battery operated rather than the typical solar.

A new breed of welding hood
April 24, 2016
Works great. It took a couple of rough starts to tune the settings for welding outside, but now it works like a fine tuned fiddle. As a iron worker I often times find myself welding in odd positions. This works great for tight places, however I will say I got a little flash burn in a strip across my forehead. This was corrected by lowering my hard hat a notch, now I don't even need the cloth cowl.
Pros
  • Light, compact, affordable.
Cons
  • Very little learning curve, switching from a fixed shade welding hood.

I can only speak for winter. This is the best welding helmet I've had . Light comfortable and you can use it with am/fm radio ear muffs all day . The elastic band is s dream come true. The lens fogged up once rub spit on it like a diver and never happen again. I hope it's not too hot for summer. I love it you should buy one.

Lov'em. Being a professional welder you almost always get into tight spots.. This product eliminates the sport of trying to maneuver your regular hood into those spots.

I struggle with glare on the inside of lens on traditional hoods. These are lightweight and work great. No back glare! Just make sure you wear your FITTED ball cap backwards!! That is if you decide not to wear the headress thing. I made the mistake of wearing one forward and tucked down. Got a mean flash burn on my forehead!
Pros
  • Lightweight, no back glare, replacebale lenses, ability for "reader" lenses. Nice prptective case prevents scratches when not in use
Cons
  • Make sure you remember to power them on before you weld! I found that out twice!

I bought this for welding roll cages to get into tight spaces, I'm pretty sure this is as good as it gets. The auto dim all works the way it's supposed to, for the money it can't be beat. It does fog up on me, but I fog any goggles I wear

I work as a designer/fabricator for a 600 person factory. The mask is my go to when I'll be welding for more than a .5 hr. and won't need to keeping checking my fit, or close tolerances.
Pros
  • Super light weight. Great peripheral vision. Great in tight spots - machinary, trenches, etc.
Cons
  • Using the provided blue hood (a must) I can imagine it will get hot in the summer - shop is not air conditioned in southern Indiana (I'll still use it).

i bought this to wear while welding inside equipment ,where 3 and sometimes 4 people are welding back to back. no matter how much you leather you hang around your hood the light finds a way through! this hood (face mask) stops it all best investment the whole crew has made . no more wearing wash clothes over eyes at night. not to mention how light it is and the tight spots i can now get in. oh yeah no more burns in the ear i cant express how grateful i am for that.
Pros
  • fit in tight spots, light weight, no more light reflecting under hood
Cons
  • should have made this years ago and lenses are not kept in stock at local welding supply yet

Amazing
December 31, 2015
Bought this to weld in tight spots where normal hood couldn't be worn and I have to say it is worth every penny. Great price by the way also. I was welding 6 inch chilled water mains about eight inches from ceiling to top of pipe with everything else imaginable in the way also. This work great seeing the top or side where I couldn't wear my normal hood. It's already paid for its self. The clarity is amazing also. Wish it had a grind mode is really my only complaint so far.
Pros
  • Light weight comfortable great clarity great price worth the purchase
Cons
  • Needs a grinding mode. Fogs up occasionally

Pros
  • Hood breaths. Fits nice. Works great.
Cons
  • Have not found any cons

I like them
September 9, 2015
The goggles work great its nice to be able to weld in close places or laying on your side or any other odd positions. When I weld out side I don't have to worry about the sun casting a reflection on the lens like on my full face hood.

Goggles
September 1, 2015
I really do like the goggles there're working fine for me. My problem with them is the presentation: I'd like when I buy a Miller is a Miller. The "elastic band" cannot be removed for clean up purpose. When look at the others they're the same, no Miller logo what so ever on the goggles as well as the carry protective bag.
Pros
  • The goggles work fine.
Cons
  • When Miller says is a Miller it have to be a Miller.

The ticket
August 11, 2015
Where has this mask been all my life! It's a excellent piece of equipment for repair welding where tight spots come with the territory. The only thing is you will sometimes get into such tight spots that the two sensors become blocked and you will get a flash or two. If they added a third sensor in the middle it would be untouchable and I would get rid of my digital elite. But for now it's the ticket for tight spots my elite won't let me get to. Totally worth 190.00!
Pros
  • Tight spaces
  • Blocks out all outside light and particles for max visibility
  • Easy to carry and sheds weight from your kit
Cons
  • Two sensors but it's not that big of a deal

Great Goggles
July 31, 2015
If you like goggles you will like these. The best part is that there is absolutely no background light getting in. The auto darkening works great and the usability is only a little less handy than a hood. I have been using the goggles to tig weld and am very happy with the fit. The only thing I noticed is that they can fog if you don't adjust them right as your breath gets deflected by the face shield up into the goggles. Just make some adjustments. I also like the frames for prescription lenses. The frame is a friction fit but be careful you don't knock them out of the rubber tab that holds them in. This is a feature that easily allows you to clean the lenses or in my case I will get another insert in order to use different cheater strengths. I made my own inserts by using masking tape to transfer the shape to the lenses of some regular reading glasses.
Pros
  • Prescription inserts are easily removed for cleaning
  • Hood is nice for keeping rays off ny face.
Cons
  • the hood and elastic band are cumbersome but okay.Would be nice to have a different head band set up.

Light weight , good for low current TIG
June 19, 2015
Mask fits tight like a dive mask with sealed edge . Good throat protection from blue hood . It can fog some on cold days at first . Great feel , clear bright view down to 30 amps . The mask is wider below the eye than shown in photo . Packs into a pouch the size of two soda cans . Stays in place when welding at odd /near inverted positions .
Pros
  • light , low current settings
Cons
  • Feels a bit cheap ,

A Must Have
June 17, 2015
I do a lot of work in the oilfield business, so there's a lot of confined space work involved as well as joints that are up against walls and corners. safety is always a must so at times it's almost impossible to get a good weld in without having to worry about knocking off your hood, or trying to get into a position so you can see the weld. but these googles put an end to all that. you can see the area very clearly. I don't wear glasses but the frame for the rx lenses is an excellent idea. at first i thought it might be hard to breath with the mask so close to my face but that's not an issue. it's not something you would wear to do some extensive welding, cause you can't flip it up like a welding hood when your in low light. but other then that it is very comfortable. it comes with the mask and hood so you're ready to go right out of the box. I wish I would have had this about 2 years ago, it would've made my job a hundred times easier.
Pros
  • light weight, very comfortable, clear view of weld puddle and weld area.
Cons
  • none so far.

For getting into difficult spots where a helmet gets in the way (which was the issue which lead to the purchase of these goggles) they're just great. Also for quick say MIG spot welds they're fantastic and although not specifically designed for such I can easily push them up onto my forehead between welds then pull into position. The auto-darkening shade works as well as my Miller Helmet so I'm extremely pleased with this purchase. This is the very same auto darkening goggles by the Korean Co. Servore as advertised online yet purchasing through CyberWeld you get both a protective mask and protective headgear for nearly the same pricing all with free shipping. Total WIN WIN.

Pros
  • light, comfortable and works as well as any helmet. Auto darkening very responsive. You feel secure.
Cons
  • none
