Plastic shell of the goggles is not supported enough by the soft seal around the face as plastic cuts into or digs into the bridge of your nose . Cost of replacement clear lense is too much. Buy a clear safety shield and cutout your own. I'm trying to make my own custom face mask, so to cover forehead and below. Not enough mounting options on goggle shell. I'll have to make a standoff from mounts for space. I've been welding 42 years boilermaker and everything less than that I bought these for the idea of the tight spaces I am very slender and short so getting in between say pontoon boat there's times where I have to fit between the trailer and the toon. Growing pains for the designers or engineers of this I wish there was some way to give them a device so they understand I doubt they put their head under the hood for extended periods of time.

I absolutely love this helmet my sim bought me for my birthday. It is very comfortable, doesn't fog up, is lightweight, and keeps the sun out so you can weld with perfect view even in direct sunlight!

I already had a traditional auto-darkening helmet and thought that I would give the goggles a try. It was less weight and without a harness to cinch up on your head like the traditional helmets, it was a lot more comfortable to wear. The ability to see your work was enhanced by the silicone skirt around the outside of the goggles which eliminated unwanted background light and reflections. Being able to buy the attachable corrective reading glasses that insert directly into the goggles was a plus too versus wearing reading glasses under a traditional helmet. The traditional helmet still has it's place in the heavy duty stick welding environment but for MIG and TIG welding these goggles are ideal.

The item prior to use looked awesome. At the first use in low ambient light, I was arc flashed at every strike. Second use with outdoor lighting, it worked very well. I purchased this more for the confined space of the first, but it doesn't work for me. Recommend for shop use or hobby welding.

The mask is really nice for tight spots. Lets you get right in there to see what you need to. Visibility is good. Super super light weight........the cons 1. does not come with extra front protection lens order them when you order mask. 2 you are also going to want to order a better head sock the standard Miller sock has the Velcro right over mouth and chin area.

I work for a muffler company, lots of confined spaces! Only issue, breathing vents would be wonderful! Still give it 5 stars!

This mask saved me. I had a tumor removed from my head. Doc said nothing touches the reconstruction area for several months - particularly a welding helmet. I was shut down. Picked up one of these, took it in to show the doc and she cleared me for light duty. No more than 15 minutes at a time (about all I could stand before fogging up) but I could work. It's light as a feather. The blue hood is useless for me but a bandanna works fine. Great back-up hood and for me a savior.

Great setup for confined spaces! Works great! Only downfall is they have a divider between each lens, but you get used to it. Very pleased overall!

Small enough to let me get in tight places.

My local welding supply stores wanted $280 to $300 for the exact same Miller goggles and hood! I am sure glad I found them here. I got them for the simple reason of getting into tight spaces and it works great. I like everything about them except for the Anti fog inserts they seem to make things distorted when welding. I may end up taking then out since I'm not wearing then for long periods of time so I don't believe I will have to worry about them fogging up. Great product otherwise.

I needed a shield that would get me into tight spots for welding pipe, it would fog up a lot when i first got it so i ditched the fabric hood it came with and used my regular welding cap. I also tried using my 3M respirator underneath it and that worked for a respirator and that helped in not fogging up the lens. I recommend it for 2 reasons, one it is the only product other than the leather mask (which I don't like using) and if you have it set up right it will work for you. Not a daily driver for the field but great for tight spots when you need it.

I've had this item before so I'm familiar with it it's of the same quality as other retailers it did show up a couple of days late due to the holiday but it was worth the wait

Very nice setup to work in close clearance places

These goggles are great for the purpose we need them. Our only need is to allow access into close spaces. Boiler header stubs, behind burner lines that are against the boiler walls, etc. Overall a very good product!

i picked this up to replace my leather hood for tight space welding. i have found this mask to be less then good for the job. first off the blue hood is not made for those of large head its very tight for me at a 71/8 hat size. it also must be wore or you will arc burn the heck out of your forehead and or ears. also if your work place requires safety glasses you have to remove them to wear the mask. it also fogs over quickly usually be for i can get my big head into the tight space I'm trying to weld. then the buttons on the side that turn it on and set shade and sensitivity are very easy to switch and if you are in a tight space you will bump them and change the settings and then get arc flashed when you strike the arc. and there is no x mode just two weak arc sensors that if blocked in any way from direct arc will not sense the light but your eyes most certainly will. to sum up i have never been arc flashed so many times with an auto dark hood in my life. if you use it in the open it works and has a nice lens but for a tight space hood it sucks miller needs to take this good idea back to the drawing board. after two months of trying I'm back to my leather.

I bought this for my husband as a surprise Christmas gift. He absolutely loves it!! According to him it makes his job 100 times easier!

I've been using this mask for a couple of months now (everyday minus weekends because what welder works weekends when they don't have to.) It takes a little while to get used to but when you do, It's heaven. No more neck pain from traditional helmets and shields. I'm able to use this mask with stick, MIG, TIG and Plasma cutting. I've yet to change the protective outer lens. Bought one for the shop and another for my service truck.

My husband loved it, he tried it and it works perfectly. At first the lens were getting foggy but it brings a film to place on them to avoid it and the shipping was fast it came earlier than expected.

You will not be able to get any closer to a weld. It works great! The only issue is fogging up. You can't expect it not to fog when the lens is that close to your face. All in all, it's a great product!

Hood is great fit and concept

I have had trouble seeing the bead while mig welding, this helmet cures that. It also gives great access for your head in tight spaces and also solved my problem of getting weld burn on my neck from flash around the edges of a standard helmet. I whole heartedly recommend it.

The hood is obviously designed for welding in a tight spot but when you find yourself in one prepared to be blinded! Even with the sensitivity turned all the way up I have been flashed many times even when welding directly in front of my face. Also it tends to fog up after a short time. It's a really cool idea just wished it worked better.

Used this hood on the job site provided by the contractor. So I had to get one of my own. Good view and clarity. Very comfortable. Only down side is the buttons location when in a tight area and if your not straight on looking at your puddle, may get blurriness or double vision. Other than that. Great investment.

I am a welding Inspector and to have these in my bag to carry to job sites for welder quals and weld demos can't beat them......also use to weld at my small shop at home and have had zero issues.....darkness and sensitivity range is smooth and consistent. I also would comment that I have not had fogging issues as stated in other reviews. I use a welders cap and throw these bad boys over the top. easy and light......I am glad I bought them.

This is one of the best purchases I have made for my repair shop. Living in Minnesota with all the salt on the roads exhaust work is plenty and with this it has made my life so much easier. Can get into small areas where I couldn't with a regular helmet.

Great piece of gear for tight-space work. It needs to be redesigned for users who wear glasses though. Just needs the rubber eye surround enlarged slightly to accommodate eyeglass frames.

So far I'm very happy with this mask. Comfortable fit, lightweight, easy mobility in tight spots. One accessory I use is a headband spotlight in tight spaces under Tractor trailers etc.Thank You very pleased. PS I seldom use my regular hood anymore.
