Millermatic 211 MIG Welder
January 6, 2014
Great welder. I like that it runs on 110V or 220V. Has plenty of heat. Great customer service from Cyberweld, and quick shipping on all purchases, small or large. Will definitely be making future purchases from this company.

Millermatic 211
December 20, 2013
i ordered this welder to learn on and it seems like a very nice machine. although i have not used it yet. i was not impressed with the cart that it came with, i had to fight it to get it bolted together. the screws stripped out and had to use self tapping screws to finish the job. other than the cheaply made cart i paid 100 dollars for, the welder is a nice unit.
Pros
  • good looking machine. nice quality.
Cons
  • cart is cheaply made.

Hands down the best welding machine i've used. Such a great product, very easy to use and gets the job done. What amazed me was the shipping! Super fast, i thought it would take awhile but i received it in 2-3 days after making the order online! I love the way cyberweld does business, fast and reliable!

My first Mig welder, learned to stick weld years ago from my dad growing up on the farm. The 211 is awesome, out of the box and ready to go in about 30 minutes. My first weld was to make a bracket for a garage door opener. Wow, why did I not have the 211 many years ago. So much easier to weld - no slag and just set the metal thickness and go. I love it. Welded some cracks in a loader bucket the next day, metal was rusty and thicker, took only a couple minutes to adjust gas and welding style, it was done
Pros
  • Auto-set is great, no learning curve figuring out wire speed and amps, set and go.
  • easy setup out of the box and welding in a few minutes
  • compact unit, easy to move around
  • 220/110 flexibility is great, just change the cord end and your ready
Cons
  • wish the cables were a couple feet longer, the gun, ground and the power cord.

just buy what's best and you won't look back

I'm new to welding. Learning to weld is about learning to manipulate the variables. The MVP presets help you to dial in the proper machine settings so that you can focus on developing hand-eye skills. As I get better and develop "the touch", I'll move off the auto settings and tweak the numbers myself - but for now the MVP settings work right out of the box. The 211 will be with me a long time.
Pros
  • MVP settings and switchable voltage

Great welder, flimsy cart
January 27, 2013
The Millermatic 211 is a fantastic welder for the price. The flexibility you have with the Multi-Voltage Plug is great. Auto-Set is a great feature as well. My only gripe is with the Hobart cart that comes in this deal. It is very flimsy and the sheet metal screws that hold it together are laughable. My first welding project with the Millermatic 211 was to weld the cart together! It's good to go now.
Pros
  • Multi-Voltage Plug
  • Auto-Set
Cons
  • The Hobart cart is a piece of junk. I welded it together and it is way better now.

it is too early to presume anything about the quality of this welder since I haven't yet performed any welding projects (just test welding) however the service has beenexcellent , the price was very competitive , and the welder arrived in good condition at my location. thank you

nice little welder
May 21, 2012
Great little welder so far. The drive is much smoother than on my Century mig. Worked great out of the box. All items shipped quickly. Best price I could find on the web. The cart is made by Hobart, and fits an 80 cu ft cylinder OK, but the welder sits on the cart with 1" to spare from side to side. I plan to bolt the welder to the cart through the two small holes in the welder bottom 'feet'. The wheels on the cart could be a little bigger. I may replace them with some larger rubber ones later. I like the Miller auto-set so far, and it seems dialed in well. Haven't worked at 220V yet, but the plug-swap is easy.
Pros
  • Very smooth, easy to set, worked great right out of the box. Cart could be a bit better and maybe have a handle (like on a kid's wagon) to drag it around with.
Cons
  • Could be more metal parts in the drive assembly - the spool holder is plastic. It may turn out to last a long time, but I would have liked to have seen metal. Also, I'm not sure I like the little wires that lead from the cable to the welder - there is a plastic milspec connector there, and it could also be metal and a little more beefy, even though it is just a signal wire for the solenoid.

211 Review
March 31, 2012
This is an excellent welder. It is easy to use, and useful for many different types of projects. It works on 110 and 220 and the changeover from on voltage to another is easy. I had a cheap flux core welder before I bought this welder, and what a difference it has made!

  • Everything
