There are a lot of things to like about this helmet. The lens clarity and color are fantastic and it's very comfortable. If you are the type to keep your hood on when grinding, the grind mode button is nice. Unfortunately I keep getting flashed at low amps with this hood. I TIG weld thin sheet metal aerospace parts all day so this is a real problem. When welding at very low amps or tapering off to avoid craters I get flashed constantly. The outer lens is brand new, not scratched, the sensitivity is maxed out, and all 4 sensors are unobstructed when this occurs. My miller digital elite has no issues in this work setting despite being old and beat up.

Very happy with the purchase, the helmet is sturdy, well made, and has many custom options to choose from as far as dimmer, delay, and different modes. The head straps are comfortable and cyberweld even threw in a great bag to carry all my gear in. Very happy with this site and will most likely order any other welding supplies from here from now on.

They put all the money in the touch screen, hood is very flimsy and gets scratched very easy. Don't buy, not good for in the field. Just tig welding if that.

Need to work on processing faster 1 or 2 days is fine but not 5-7 the hoods awesome tho

I've used a new speedglas at work for the last year and wanted to find a hood with the same true color technology. The sentinel has the same clarity as my speedglas for half the price. I really like all the memory settings and the touch screen display. The headgear is more comfortable than my speedglas although the hood feels slightly heavier. I am giving a 4 out of 5 because of the small viewing area and weight.

Everything about this welding helmet is top notch. It's so sensitive, goes dark at the flick of a lighter. The head strap is fully adjustable and of top quality. The package comes with many extras, shields,screen covers, and a doo rag style welding cap. And Cyberweld threw in a welders bag for free and is of high quality. Totally, the best money I've spent,"ever".

Very comfortable and batteries easy to change along with the lens. The grind feature is also nice.

I love the look of this mask and the 3 different tint lenses it comes with, after I received it my dad said it was a lot of money for a mask after he used it for the first time he fell in love with it and uses it every day and says it makes a night day difference, so I had to buy another one

I always been a Miller type of guy I have a Elite and Infinity, I wanted to try something new and I came across the Esab. Read the reviews and the features so I decided to give it a shot.I absolutely love the helmet it's truly unique it distribute the weight evenly resulting in less neck fatigue.(I weld 8hrs-10hrs a day) The true color features is really helpful.The infinity also has this feature, the design from inside out is one of a kind! Worth every penny

In the past year I've needed glasses, my old miller helmet has been giving me trouble trying to wear glasses under it, my welds are not what they used to be.. with this new helmet and shade color I'm back to the professional weld I expect from myself!! Wish I always had this helmet!!

The best you'll ever use. Started welding with 3m then bought xfinity and thought with the extra large view it was the cats meow. Then I started looking on internet to see what is out there. I saw the halo and the optrel. After talking with our supplier he explained pro and cons and with me working on tractor trailers and tight places the optrel wouldn't work for me because of the knobs getting caught on things I went with Esab halo. The best helmet made. I have had it for year and half and no problems. I took off one day for doctors appointment and one of the young boys was using it and left it on work table face down. And he started tacking stuff together and a hot one landed on my glass and cracked the lens. Well after 2 weeks of looking through that I have a brand new one coming today. One issue I have is I ordered a backpack to store it in but Esab doesn't offer any thing like that so I bought a Optrel backpack.

I've read rating after rating and keep coming by one flaw people think this helmet has; it is a flimsy hood when not being used and some think the durability is not there. So what???!! I've had this helmet for 6 months or so now and it's still in top shape even being used everyday. Also when the shell does crap out a replacement costs $30. It's by far the best hood I've ever used clarity wise at least. It sits close to your face which makes it harder to bump your head in tight spots. You will be blown away with what you can see while you're welding. The only actual flaw this helmet has is when tacking or "taking your tungsten for a swim" (sticking your rod or torch in the puddle) the lens slightly hesitates when jumping in and out of arcs, which leads to flash burns from time to time. As long as you don't suck at welding or in a tough spot with a stick you should be fine. I would say for the money this is the best helmet available but even if it was double the price I would say the same. The touch screen inside the hood to change shades, sensitivity and delay is awesome, along with what I call the Cadillac of halo's are other incredible features of this hood. You will not be disappointed with this buy, ESAB has killed it with this thing.

Prior to the Sentinel I've only ever owned fixed-shade helmets, so when I got to start using the Sentinel it was a pretty new experience for me. The visibility is excellent in my opinion compared to fixed-shades and the view isn't bad at all either, I can see everything I need to and then some when i'm welding and fitting. The helmet sits pretty low on the head when it's flipped up so you avoid that top heavy feeling you get from a lot of other helmets when you're walking around. The controls are clear and easy to understand with a lot of shade options for welding and cutting. One of the biggest standouts for the helmet is obviously the look, if that's something you like then its nice, if you don't care then it's still a good helmet. The headgear has a lot of adjustment in it, more than other helmets I've owned or considered buying, and with that is nice and comfortable to wear all day. In the end I would recommend this helmet to anyone wanting an auto-darkening helmet.

Had many different helmets over last 25 years. Started to have to ad magnifiers looked at some reviews bought it. Never had a good as view has this wish I had one 25 years ago lighter than old too saler was great service and fast shipping. Thanks

This helmet is very comfortable and makes TIG welding easier. There is no more fiddling around in the dark before you begin your weld, and with the "grind "feature, you don't even have to lift the lid. Worth every penny!

I Really Love this hood, I do a lot of welding at work and home and I cant say enough about the this hood. It is great for Mig welding and even better for Tig. It is light and the head gear is great.

Better than arcone, miller, Lincoln 3350 in my opinion. People say the headgear is Flemsy, I'll kindly disagree its very much enough for what it does. Vision is super incredible. Let my buddy test it and he bought one that day. Touch screen is just awesome! The grind mode is a godsend. I would highly recommend to any professional.

I HIGHLY recommend purchasing this helmet. I spent many years going through different helmet styles and filters and this is by far the best!! The other reviews aren't lying. The head gear conforms so nicely to your head and wearing it is so light, you literally forget it's there. The vision is spectacular! You can see every edge and property of the weld. Any impurities will show up so clear. It really puts a whole new depth to really getting into a finely placed weld. When the shade isn't on, you can see as if you didn't even have it on. I found myself trying to rock the helmet down at times forgetting it was already down. Laughed to myself but was amazed at how perfect the vision is. Customer service is great and the delivery was on point. I ordered my helmet on a Friday and thought there was no way it would show up the next day. Sure enough, there it was on the doorstep the very next day. Replacement screens, head band, carry bag, and the amazing Sentinel hood. I let a few co-workers use my helmet just to see how amazing the sight is, they are now bummed to use their own beloved helmets and will purchasing this one soon. It's a must if you really want to get in there!!

The clarity of the lens is awesome. It has improved my speed and quality. It's amazing how much of a difference this has made.

I ordered the helmet from cyberweld on Thursday afternoon and had it on Friday morning. The helmet it self works great. Did some tig welding to try it out and it worked flawlessly.

This is by far the most comfortable hood I've ever had. Field of view is great, all the controls are simple and easy. The grind button is easy to use with gloves on. I weld in my own small shop so I frequently switch from mig to tig to stick, use a torch or plasma cutter so the separate memory settings for different shades are a big convenience. Love this hood.

I bought it as a gift for my business partner and he absolutely loves it.

I've worn this helmet for 1 day and I'm blown away at how it's not a horrible green or fixed shade yellow, the whiter more real color makes tig much more fun and easier to see at low amps. A big difference between green as well with the ability to see the edge of the puddle a lot more and seeing the gap from my tungsten to the puddle.

True color is the way to go no matter what you get so far I've used this hood for a week straight and I love it very sensitive it blinks if your working around any kind of machines with strobe lights grind mode works great very clear shield

I had purchased a miller T94 last year. I had a problem with it not going back to light state after doing some tacks but if I struck another arc or pressed the grind button and it would work fine until I started racking again. I called miller and they sent a completely new lens out to me. Behold I had the same problem out of it too. Well I did some research on this hood and finally bought it. I do not regret for one minute buying this hood. It is extremely comfortable and the clarity matches, if not surpasses, that of my T94. I'm extremely pleased with this purchase.

Light weight. Slick Only one around with one but the lenses are a bit expensive. Head gear is a bit flimsy but it works. Oh and this hood flashes me from time to time.

The best helmet I ever used

I am a weekend welder. Prior to this I only bought cheap 40 harbor freight mask. WOW!! What a difference. Amazing! I weld much better because I can see much better!! Worth the ducketts!!

I waited to write this review, until I had a chance to break in the helmet and put it through some daily abuse....and it has stood up to the challenges, light weight and durable all of the helmets features are as expected. head adjustments are easy touch screen is top grind button works and the curved face shield changes the game, well done / worth the $$$
