Donald from Montgomery, Alabama asks:
My Fabricator 250 MIG welder has a owner's manual that calls for a model number 830844 spool master gun to plug and play with the power source of the Fabricator 250. I have never been able to find this spool gun and was told by a dealer it never went into production, but included in literature by mistake. The Fabricator 250 is not a 251! And is not inverter based or PC driven. My machine does have a 14 pin receptacle to connect to the ghost spool master gun. QUESTION is will this SG200TA-25 Spool Gun sub model number 1027-1390 or (91) or (92) plug and play with my machine? I have my fingers crossed. The main issue is does the spool gun have the 14 pin male plug and does it have a lug weld current connector or does it have a tweco coaxial cable hose end connector for the weld current? Since the machine has a rocker selector switch to chose between power source wire feed or spool gun I would assume a lug connection would be the proper type for my machine.
