I saw that you cannot air arc with this. I'm not even sure what that means, a plasma cutter uses an arc combined with compressed air to cut steel. Carbon Arc Cutting (or gouging) is a completely different process, that has nothing to do with plasma cutting. I believe a better question would have been, " Does the Cutmaster 42 have a "gouge" or metal removing capability in either 120 or 230 voltage?".
