It worked great right out of the box, very fast speed, love the flames. Only problem is that the headgear loosens itself, so when I go to flip my helmet up it just lifts off my bloody head, only to just drop when I put it back on. I've spent hours trying to find a setting to prevent it, to no avail. Honestly though, since it was a seventeenth birthday gift for my two year welding degree from a local college, I can't complain. Paired with the excitement that I'm taking college welding in high school and will be graduating as a certified welder, it's easily overlooked.

It has made my job much safer, easier, and efficient. I can now concentrate on laying good welds instead of messing with those old school hoods. This helmet definitely takes welding into the 21st century. Now, I just adjust the settings based on the task, lower it, and start working. I have used it for stick, grinding, and cutting, however, this only scratches the surface of its potential because you can also MIG and TIG with it. It is easy to adjust the knobs for the shape and size of your head-although this takes some getting used to.

Been welding pipe for about three years now and used an Old pipeliner. Bout the miller elite and I got to say one of the best by far. View is awesome setting are easy to set up really makes it easier to see to make xray welds. Cyberweld by far has the best prices for a list of things I'm about to buy.

I love this hood. I would give it 6 stars if i could. I'm wearing it right now as I type this review. The head gear is comfortable and provides a lot of adjustability. The grind mode and X mode features are outstanding and I use them often. It provides a clear view at low amps and I have yet to be flashed while wearing this helmet due to the extra arc sensors and X mode. It does not fatigue me or wear out my neck even after welding 10 hours straight. It gets pretty hot in the shop during these Arizona summers and the design ventilates well and seems to help to evacuate hot breath. The lens controls are superb and the display is easy to read. I don't have to lift up or remove the hood/gloves to make adjustments. I just slip my gloved hand in and press the buttons. I imagine this will help reduce the wear on the head gear as you do not have to constantly flip the hood up and down. One thing I should note is the versions of this hood that have graphics do not have the quick change lens cover system but it doesn't really bother me. If you are getting into welding and will spend a lot of time behind the hood, don't buy a cheap crappy helmet, trust me. You will end up spending the money on a good hood eventually so save yourself the hassle. A good helmet and good gloves will make your welding experience much more enjoyable.

I am a welder 30 + years and have never had a helmet this comfortable and that performed as well as this one. This is the best investment I have ever made. The cost out weighs the pain of my burning face and eyes. This is a helmet all welders should own.

I bought this for my son who is studying welding engineering at Ferris State University. He said it is fantastic, he can see so much more clearly to do his welding. It was shipped immediately! Cyberweld is the best!

Made a huge difference! I have always used the low-cost helmets in the past and was amazed at how much better I could see what I was welding!

I have only had it a little while but I really like it. I had an older pro-hobby for about 4 years before it started flashing me and giving me trouble so I was a little skeptical to dish out the money for the elite. Now that I have it I am sure glad I did. I like the digital filter and settings, although I feel that x mode is a little unnecessary as you can just set the controls manually to mimic that mode. Aside from the auto darkening factor my favorite part about this hood is the new headgear! Even if you cant afford this hood or don't have a need for it I recommend upgrading your headgear.

I was having severe eye burns using cheaper masks, this solved the problem.

I use this hood 12 hours a day 5 days a week. This has to be the most versatile hood I have owned, and it is definitely the clearest hood I have used. The head gear is not only adjustable for almost anyone need it is extremely comfortable. So comfortable I forget i am wearing it. X-Mode is great for outside and standing near someone giving instruction while they weld since i am not always facing directly at the arc.

This was $50 cheaper than everywhere we looked. Full warranty on it and everything, will be shopping here again!!

I like the settings range, all the way from grinding, acetylene, to hi amp tig, this helmet covers it all!

Great helmet at a great price very easy to operate. The head gear is awesome. I have 5 types of helmets none perform as well as this new miller. Have you ever got welders flash ? Think about it. it's your eyes you only got one set .

Honestly, this is the first higher priced helmet I have purchased, but I love it. The others were the $50-$75 range and cannot compare. This one has many adjustments to get it comfortable and is really light. I can forget I am wearing it.

I put this hood on and was amazed at the light weight and durability feel. I'm welding outside a lot and the 4 sensors pick up quick. My neck feels great at the end of the day and not so much as a little red eye. I researched a lot hoods any various setups for a few weeks and believe this is the best bang for the buck. The new headgear makes it feel like it was designed just for me. Miller has it together when building quality equipment.
