I was considering other brands of welders in this price range and other Miller welders more expensive than this one. I'm glad I chose the Multimatic 200. The auto settings are perfect, the arc is smooth and the portability put it above the 215 for me.

Excellent Machine
January 14, 2020
Been using this machine for a year now. Lots of technology put into one small and lightweight package. Very nice smooth arc when using the typical 6000 and 7000 series electrodes. For wire feed, the arc stability is right on the money when selecting between C25, C100, or Fluxed Core. I have also used the machine to join dissimilar metals using copper-nickel electrodes (3/32 diameter) and am very impressed with the results. Haven't used the TIG or Spool Gun features but I can't wait to try them.
Pros
  • Excellent arc, lightweight, rugged.
Cons
  • duty cycle

Glad I bought this one...
December 26, 2019
Most of my work is in remote areas, so I needed something that was easily portable with a generator in the back of the UTV. I previously had a Fabricator 181i that served me fairly well, so I almost replaced it with the similar Esab Rebel 215. However, after researching, I finally pulled the trigger and ordered the Multimatic 200. After using it for a few weeks, I am very glad that I purchased this one. This machine is unbelievably light for what it can do, and it uses significantly less power than my previous welders (this is a big deal to me since I am mostly using a generator). Mig has fantastic arc on both solid wire with C25 as well as flux cored. I didn't think I would use Auto-Set, but it is especially handy when the kids want to practice their welding skills, and I will confess to using it as well. Stick works great also; so far I have only used 7018 and 6011 but both run very nice. I do not use TIG, so cannot comment on that. Very happy with the machine, and buying from Cyberweld was icing on the cake.
Pros
  • Versatile, tough, incredibly light, low power use.
Cons
  • I do wish that it still came with the Bernard Q150, however the Miller gun works fine.

Multimatic 200
June 6, 2019
Recommended to me by a friend, this welder is the best tool I've purchased in a long time. Once in a while you get something that exceeds your expectations and this did it for me. Bare wire (0.030 solid wire) with a C25 gas shield is wonderful. Thin materials to thick, just use the auto-set feature to start with and tweak a little from there. Would heartily recommend this machine and would personally purchase another one immediately if I lost this one.

Great portable TIG pipe welding machine with ability for other processes
May 20, 2017
Used this machine for alot of small <6" medium and high pressure piping. Great machine even off of 110v but make sure circuit breaker can handle the amperage. Passed a lot of xrays on this little machine. As a jedi welder I recommend this welding machine the cost, versatility and ruggedness and cant be beat.
Cons
  • 110v option is great but check amperage on circuit before welding. This machine will pull some amps.

I have used the Multimatic everyday at work for a year and a half now. Mig/tig/stick and even the spoolmate work great. The spoolmate took some getting used to but it welded the aluminum just fine. Flux core runs good too. I do mostly tig and stick. I run hot too. This welder will tig on the highest setting for a 10 hour day no prob. I have always bought miller products. They have always been the best in my opinion. After running the multimatic 200 for so long at work I finally bought one off cyberweld.com for a great price. I am happy with my purchase.
Pros
  • Light weight. Runs as good as larger machines.

I have used this machine now for a little over a year and it does great! it has plenty of continues welding power for my rock crawler builds. I own it for home use only but anyone looking for a well rounded machine that can weld up to a 1/2" steel if pre heated this is your machine.
Pros
  • just a great machine
Cons
  • wish the lead for mig was longer

You should get one. It is amazing.
Pros
  • Portable, multiprocess, clean welds
Cons
  • Low duty cycle (hasn't been an issue for me though)
  • Not an AC TIG, but that's kind of obvious right?
  • "Low current max" you can do 3/8", but you'll need to work slower. This hasn't been an issue either. It will puddle a 3/32 into the face of a 3/8" plate with no complaints if turned up.

great welder and components
June 21, 2016
works great and all the components came with it are quality. Does everything I need it to in a portable package until I can afford a dynasty. I would definitely recommend this welder to anyone.
Pros
  • with tig kit it comes complete minus gas and perishables, great quality, easy to use, portable
Cons
  • I think the only thing I would like to see for being at the top of the price range compared to its competitors is the addition of options like pulse feature.

Bought the multimatic for home use as an electrician who's a beginner stick and mig welder. Runs great off of 120 and haven't even tried the 240 yet. Overall I'd recommend it to anyone for home use or light commercial/industrial use.
Pros
  • Versatility and ease of operation. Size is nice for small garage too.
Cons
  • Not for major industrial/structural applications

Awesome for around the house
December 24, 2015
So far, all I've done is tested the thing with a few lil stringers on relatively thin material and it works great. Its going to be perfect for around the home repairs and projects. Thing about the lil machines is a short duty cycle. But if you're doing it right; making short weds starring sides to reduce heat build and mitigate distortion, you'll typically spend enough time moving you or the piece around the you wont hit the limit anyway. I mean you're not building a skyscraper w this. You COULD but it might be frustrating waiting on the thing to cool off after running a long bead. Plus the charts and auto set make it stupid proof. I'm not a hardcore welder, and this takes the guesswork out of getting the current in the right ballpark. You can still tune it form there as you see fit. Its great!
Pros
  • Highly capable
  • Extremely portable
  • Stupid-proof setup
Cons
  • Not recommended for large scale industrial purposes where high output over long periods is needed. I mean just look at the ratings and cycles.

Money Well Spent
November 26, 2015
Purchased this welder five months ago for garage projects and basically to weld everything metal, very happy with this machine. Auto set is by far my favorite feature it makes welding simple probably my grandma can do it. Downside can't TIG aluminum, the Spoolgun is kind of heavy duty for thinner metal.
Pros
  • Easy smooth welds, makes welding easy with professional results.
Cons
  • DC Tig only.

Great machine
October 14, 2015
This machine is perfect for welding on the go.it is as lite as they say it is. this machine can almost replace the old miller 211, almost,... I say because on long pulls you will hit its duty cycles end but the machine will do its best to keep up by magical oscillating the current. when I say long pulls I mean well over 6-8" continuous of at least 1/4" plate. This machine is awesome if you on the fence about buying it. BUY IT!!! I LOVE MINE.
Pros
  • It does what Miller says it does.
Cons
  • They don't make a dust cover that holds the cables..... YET..

The Multimatic 200 has exceeded my expectations and is another great Miller product. It definitely has more power and welds hotter with less input power. This is my 3rd welder I've purchased from CyberWeld over the years and they've never let me down. Fast shipping, great prices, and never have had any issues. Thanks again!

A GREAT DIY ALL IN ONE WELDER
July 28, 2015
This welder is versatile to say the least. It might not have all the options to make it the ideal MIG, TIG and Stick welder all wrapped up into one, but it has plenty of options packed into it to make great for the home garage/small shop. To say the least, it is a great welder for both learning and experienced welders. As always, Miller did a GREAT job putting this machine together. To make matters even better, Cyberweld has had nothing but perfect customer service and assistance all along the way. If you have the chance to get this welder, and it will handle all you are going to need it for (which it likely will), I strongly suggest to buy it!
Pros
  • Versatility, many options in a small package, auto-set option to help dial your settings in, easy to go moblie, can do about all a DIY/small shop will need and then some, good first machine or even for an experienced welder (An experienced welder by me really liked it and said it was a GREAT buy even in comparison to his $3000 MIG unit and enjoyed welding with it)
Cons
  • Only comes with a 15A plug for 110V - would have been nice to have the 20A plug in case I am away from my 220V outlet.

Pros

  • THE DIRECTIONS CAN HELP EVEN BEGINNERS BUT TAKE A COURSE FIRST FOR SAFETY PURPOSES.

GREAT ALL AROUND MACHINE
May 4, 2015
So far this machine has done everything it claims. The autoset feature works great, I was really surprised. right out of the box I set to c25 mig, metal thickness and wire size then ran a nice smooth bead no problem. I have also used the aluminum mig gun and the tig torch with this machine. These both work as well as advertised. the only things I haven't tested yet are the stick welding and the multivolt plug in 240V. The 110V capability of this machine is beyond what I expected. it seems to handle the thicker material and not even struggle. I even managed to weld 1/4 AL on 110V when the autoset didn't even go to that thickness. The TIG was a bit different from what I'm used to because I've never used lift arc TIG before, but it still welded great after I got it figured out.
Pros
  • great machine for the price, especially with the current miller rebate. more power than expected with the 110V. very easy for anyone to use and very light and portable, also very nice and quiet to use. fan on demand is nice. Auto set is better than expected. Multi volt plug is great for versatility also.
Cons
  • lift arc TIG was difficult to get used to after doing regular TIG. Changing processes is easy unless it requires you to change gas bottles, that is the worst part or changing processes in my opinion.

Expensive, but amazing bang for buck
March 10, 2015
Cyberweld actually had the best price I could find, by about 2 or 3 hundred bucks, plus they threw in the TIG kit, plus there was (at the time) a Miller rebate incentive, which meant that you could be fully set up for all three processes with a nice machine for the price of one or two dedicated process machines. The TIG mode is amazingly smooth, the mig great and the stick mode is super easy to strike. I've only been using it about a week, but I've been switching back and forth between processes with no issues.
Pros
  • Smooth, user friendly, can switch between processes without having to totally break down the machine
Cons
  • No postflow control (that I know of)

Bought this welder for general fabrication around the farm and for some custom car restoration. Once I got gases from the local supply I tried ORG, MUG, and Stick on some ornamental iron. Even welding thin material was smooth and easy. The auto settings are a little hot so I set it in manual. Good product and great service from Cyberweld.
Pros

Cons

AWESOME MACHINE
November 5, 2014
We recently picked one of these units up for our smaller projects as sending an XMT 450 set up out to do small jobs just didn't make logistic sense. I had high hopes for this machine, and it exceeded them! I took it straight out of the box and put it to the test to see if it would fail. 70S-6 .035 with C25 I was able to lay bead after bead on shaft for an overlay, I was sure the machine could not hold up to the near constant duty cycle, after 15 minutes I had to stop... to let the material cool down, the machine was still putting down perfect beads pass after pass. So I switched to the stinger and grabbed a handful of 1/8" 7018, I was shocked at how well it started and maintained the arc; it welded as good or better than our XMT 304 shop machine. I laid several 3/16"-1/4" beads, it never showed signs of fading. the final test was to hook up the TIG kit... which I must say is one of the coolest features of this machine, switching processes is super easy... I ground the provided 3/32" tungsten and set the machine to max (150 amps) this is where my very first disappointment came, no high freq start, I'm over it; I was able to weld a 6" section of pipe with a nice crisp and even bead, I will note that I was only using 1/16" filler. All in all this machine exceeded my expectations in every aspect, the auto set is going to be great for our less experienced welders as every setting I put it on was spot on and produced nice beads with nearly no spatter. I'm sure this machine will pay for itself in no time flat... I may be ordering another one soon for my home garage.
Pros
  • Super easy set up, great weld quality with every process.
Cons
  • No High freq start TIG, not a big deal but it would be a nice option.

Great overall welder for portable field operations
October 5, 2014
I purchased this machine after months of research for my company. Cyberweld had best price point despite my local supply house warning me about cyber purchases and warranty issues. I received my unit in perfect packing and secure delivery. I went to plug everything up and the lugs on the Tig fitting and ground in the machine were too small! I called miller and spoke to a tec who by the way was unreal! I have herd about Miller great customer service and knowledge base and it is nice to see a company that knows the product! it was concluded that the brass machined fittings in the machine were cut too small! Miller advised to contact Cyberweld for a exchange and they would honor any and all warranty issues. I contacted cyberweld and they made the process quick as I had to return the unit then they would ship a new one. All went well ...A week later I receive a call from Miller to verify that my new machine made it and all is well. He explained the issue with the machined parts and corrected the problem. Cyberweld was professional in the aspect of a cyber store. My local Welding supply said if I purchased with them physically you can change the machine out in person same day, Miller in fact verified this to be true that is one perk of having a brick and mortar store. But that said they were 800 $ higher than cyberweld!!! I was out a welder for about 7 days before the exchange . This was not a deal breaker for future business with cyberweld as they ( cyber) made it right . Can't say enough about the customer service with Miller. After all my research and studies regarding inverter machines I was extremely nervous about them ( still am) how do they work you ask well I had several high value high pressure jobs pop up on job sites where one I only had 115 power / mig work. The machine ran like my shop machine blew the breaker a couple of times but made me look like a hero! They could not believe I was mig welding on that power! One Tig job same thing my only dig to this machine vs my shop on Tig is lift Arc on tiny parts this may be a issue but The Tig is smooth and stable ( I am a torch guy ) . The reason I am nervous is the guts of the machine so small,! My local weld repair guy Miller certified says the inverters are like magic until they go down then if the unit is out of warranty some of the small units a throw away ! Due to the cost of the pc board. But Miller backs all there gear for 3 years. As a business owner the cons on the inverters make me shake some days but they are paying the bills and if I keep feeding them work no worries , these little welders ( inverters) are quite amazing everyone tells me I need to get with the times ., I know all Welders have electronic components within the blue box but I still see old syncrowaves still going strong 15 years plus !! I love that welder BTW ! Well that's my rant will I purchase another inverter ( yes) but my business I have to plan my moves and overall the multimatic has performed above and beyond the call for what it is intended for
Pros
  • Light, multi use TIG, Mig, Stick dual power 115-220
Cons
  • Does not hook up to 3 phase power I do service for plants and most a 220 is never around where I need to repair around. One bug on lugs but hey Miller and cyberweld made it right! Both have great customer service

I bought this welder a little over a year ago and have not had a single problem until a few weeks ago the main board just took a dump, it is however getting repaired but still waiting a little over 3 plus weeks now and nothing. I love the welder just the time frame to get the repair done sucks.
Pros
  • Great welder
Cons
  • Wish miller would be a little more on their game on having the parts in stock.

Awesome Machine
March 25, 2014
I bought this welder a while back, and it is great. To be honest, I was skeptical when I purchased the welder. I figured that it being a multiprocess welder, it would perform all the tasks fair. I was wrong. Miller hit a homerun with this one. I bought all the accessories to go along with it, and so far everything performs just as I have come to expect from Miller... Nothing but top notch. I do a good bit of structural work so in the past welding up high was a task that I could only use my Bobcat for. This involved rolling out my 100 feet of leads to do a job that usually only took 10 minutes of welding. The light-weight compact design of this machine makes it a must for any mobile welder. The only drawback I see is that this machine is sensitive to dusty environments, so try not to expose it to too much dust.
Pros
  • Compact. Lightweight. Extremely portable. Much cheaper than buying a Tig, Mig, and Stick separately. Performs just as well as the big single process machines.
Cons
  • None

Versatile
December 13, 2013
I love this welder. I wanted something to replace my Millermatic 211 just because the 211 is heavy for mobile work all day. I was worried about some reviews I read regarding the inability to strike an arc with 1/8 inch 7018 rods. The day I got this Multimatic I unpacked it and completed a small mig job I was working on. Then I plugged in the SMAW electrode holder and ran some 1/8 inch 7018 beads. The beads were nice and smooth. I had NO problems with sticking. I had the welder plugged in to 230V. I haven't tried it with 110V because I don't need to. But all the welding I've done with it has made me realize I no longer need the Millermatic 211. I didn't even need to remove the mig gun to plug in the SMAW electrode stinger. Nice!
Pros
  • Versatile
  • Light Weight
  • MVP (multi-voltage plug)
