Great welder millermatic 211
September 17, 2014
I have only used it with 110 plug, it did great on 1/4 inch and 16 ga metal. I used the auto set and the manuel set, both worked great. It lays down beautiful welds. I had a miller 180 the big one with with the wheels and tank holder for my body shop, and this 211 welds as good or better !! I also purchased the spool gun, but have not used yet. I'm sure it will work as well as the machine does. This works so well, I'm sure my 10 year old could lay down so good welds!! Shipped fast, and packaged very well. I have made a lot of purchases from cyber weld, and they have always been great.
Pros
  • You can Carry it anywhere needed. 110/220 power is nice for where 220 is not found.
Cons
  • The only con that i can come up with is, its not free. (Joking) no cons for me!!

Nice machine, good deal
July 18, 2014
The Miller 211 MIG welder was easy to get set up. The machine comes with wire but no flux core wire. I included in my order a roll of .030 Hobart flux core wire. My first project: a grill grate made with expanded metal and angle iron for an outdoor fire pit. I learned how to weld using SMAW (stick) . I am still getting use to the different type of welding, shouldn't take long though. Paid $1099.00 for the machine. Free shipping and no tax!!
Pros
  • Easy set up, nice looking machine
Cons
  • MIG gun cable is a little short. The machine will need to be close to the work. I may order the optional longer cable at some point.

Love it
May 13, 2014
A blind guy could lay down a nice bead with this thing! It's a joy to use. I haven't even had to use it in the 220 Volt mode as it welds great on 110. I have to use it about 10% lower settings than the chart says as it works too well. Buy it and slap a 75/25 bottle on it and you wont regret it.

Cyberweld is great
March 30, 2014
Have been buying stuff from CyberWeld for 10 years now. Received my Millermatic 211 in 3 days in perfect condition. The 211 welds nice. I bought the 211 for portability and the option to run 110v or 220v. I always have liked Miller products but I am a little disappointed with the ground clamp(cheapest ground clamp I have ever seen on a machine). The mig gun lead is a little stiff(not as flexible as it should be). Drive roll mechanism seems cheaply made.I also own other Miller products that are between 9 and 10 years old.The quality is so much better on the older mig and plasma cutters I own. Seems like Millers quality might be going down the drain.
Pros
  • 110v or 220v operation.Has excellent arc start.Excellent welder for home hobbyist.
Cons
  • Probably mostly made in China. Weight. Cheap ground clamp. Stiiff mig gun lead, has cheap Chinese feel. Drive roll mechanism seems cheaply made, but I have not had any wire feeding problems.

March 10, 2014
There's nothing I could say about the Miller 211 that hasn't already been said. I would like to comment on Cyberweld. After a lot of research, I decided on the Miller 211. Shopping online for the best price, Cyberweld was having a sale on this machine. After reading several reviews on other sites, talking about their welder being damaged in shipping , and not wanting to go through that hassle, I paid a few dollars more and ordered it from Cyberweld. They had many customer comments on how well their machine was packaged, and it was. Their website was a breeze to navigate , I placed my order online with my phone ,from the kitchen table. I ordered around 10:am, Wednesday at 1:30 I had confirmation It was on it's way. It arrived Saturday at 2:00.and I'm 3000 miles away. Excellent service Cyberweld. I'll be ordering a spool gun in the near future, when I do, you guys will get my business. Job well done.

Performs above and beyond expectation.
Pros
  • My buddy is an art/sculpture welder ( He owns/has 3 of these). He helped me set up the Miller 211 at his studio and showed me all the the tricks of this machine. I have to admit, most of the work I will be doing is outdoor so I will not have the well equipped shop like his studio but I know that I have the best machine that the pros are using right now.
Cons
  • Much heavier than the Miller 140 that I used to.

Received on time and Welds like butter
December 1, 2013
Received the order from Cyberweld like they promised. Everything was in order. After finishing my honeydo's, I started welding...I didn't want to stop until, I heard dinner was on the table(the third time). Equipment setup was simple, and welding a coupon went quickly into doing projects. My projects are mainly from 1/8 inch steel to 1/4 inch steel, tubing and plate. My welds look real good compared to trades school equipment and I have had no wire nesting. Glad I found Cyberweld. A Miller plasma arc cutter is next.
Pros
  • Great company, does what it says. Made filing Miller Rebate paper work easy. AND the 211 welds GREAT!!!(and easy).
Cons
  • I should have started 10 years(or more) ago. Trades school equipment I thought was good, now I see the difference.

Great welder for its size
October 23, 2013
This is the perfect welder for home or shop use. If your doing larger fabrication I would suggest getting a welder with a better duty cycle. It only takes about 3 minutes to swap over to the spool gun for welding aluminum. All in all, if you're able to spend the extra money for the 211 over the 180 you definitely won't be disappointed.
Pros
  • Easy to use, easy to swap to spool gun, switches from 110 to 220 volts in 2.2 seconds, temperature light
Cons
  • Just a bit on the heavy side for a portable welder.

Top Quality Welder.
September 4, 2013
This little welder will surprise you, even though it is targeted for the home hobbyist it is border lining a professional unit at a much higher price, I wouldn't use it to weld 8 hours a day (although it would probably handle it). It lays nice smooth beads and has all the power you will need for almost of all your jobs. I love that fact you have the option of Dual Voltages! That was the main reason I bought this welder.
Pros
  • Everything! Quality, Versatility, Power.
Cons
  • None... very rare not to have any cons...the fan is a little loud I guess if I had to pick one.

Cyberweld #1. I had the welder sent to a second address and Cyberweld verified second address.I ordered welder on Monday and received on Friday, fast delivery. Two weeks after purchase I found same welder on sale $47.00 cheeper with mail in Rebates but not big fan of mail in rebates. My old welder is a 25 year old Lincoln arc stick welder, the Millermatic 211 is so easy to use and fabrication is so much faster,it has all the power I need.I do not have dedicated lines and not kicking any breakers Surprised at cost of flux core wire I would get more welds from sticks, but welder is great.
Pros
  • Great welder.MVP 120v - 230v
Cons
  • The weight, its heavy

May 17, 2013
First time using a portable mig and I am impressed. It penetrates .375" mild steel very well. Played around with the auto set function on a variety of thicknesses and was equally impressed . I originally didn't think too much of the auto set function before I purchased it. I was interested in only the manually set mode. But I will be using the auto set more than I first thought since it seems to be effective.

Millermatic 211 MIG Welder Auto Set With MVP 907422
April 14, 2013
I think the Miller 211 is a great machine for the home user and small fab jobs or auto work. Being a certified structural steel welder at work I am used to using larger powered machines. I use Miller machines on the job and its my choice for home. I got a bottle of 75/25 and enjoying every weld. Very impressed ! The auto set feature is OK it is a good starting point. But for more experienced welders its not needed. but it is cool ! Over all I love it for my wire feed machine at the house !!!

Millermatic 211: Fine Upgrade
February 13, 2013
This Millermatic replaces an older Millermatic 135. So far, it appears to be quite superior to the former. It starts and stops smoother, leaving a better looking bead. It is aluminum ready out of the box, which I am waiting to try out. The "Auto-Set" feature is awesome, letting a hobbyist like me eliminate the guesswork from the weld settings. Overall, a fine machine.
Pros
  • The Auto-Set feature; the aluminum-ready out of the box feature; and the small footprint.

Well designed and solidly built
February 11, 2013
After researching several different brands of MIG welders, from the low cost models sold by the big box retailers to the pro models sold by the local welding distributors I decided on the Miller 211 and am happy I did. I've been using this welder for about 2 weeks now and it has performed flawlessly. This unit is well designed and and sturdily built. This is just for hobby applications but I had great luck with other Miller equipment so that helped with my purchase decision. My advice if you are tempted by the low cost import MIG units out there is to save your money and buy the 211. It's a great unit at a reasonable price point. Also, the Auto-Set feature works wonderfully. A real time saver for week-end welders like myself.
Pros
  • Well built
  • Wire drive mechanism is solid and well designed
  • Auto-set works as advertised and is a time saver
  • Dual voltage 120 / 240 is handy and both plugs are included.
  • Made in USA (hard to find that these days!!!)
Cons
  • No major issues.
  • If I were to nit-pick I would say weight and fan noise level. This is a relatively heavy unit so make sure you get a cart if you need portability. As far as fan noise, there is a fairly powerful cooling fan in this unit, although it is not excessively loud, it is a bit louder than the cooling fans on my other equipment such as my TIG welder. It would be nice if they could quiet it down or lower the speed when the unit is not hot and just sitting and idling. Again, this is not a problem, just some feedback for Miller if they read these reviews.

Great Welder
February 6, 2013
Can't beat the ease of use and size. I finally gave in and got this over the heavier 252. The packaging was neat and arrived with no hassle. Plugged in to 120V and was welding within 10 minutes of taking it out of the box. Have only gotten a chance to weld some 1/8" hot rolled bar stock but so far so good. It does weld a little hot for the recommended settings like most people have speculated about. I have not tried the auto set feature. Great machine, it is a tad louder with the fan in my small 2 car garage than I would like, it would be great if the fan shut off when it wasn't needed. Definitely not a deal breaker though.
Pros
  • Size, brand reliability, worked out of the box just fine.
Cons
  • Fan is a bit loud, wish it had an auto shut off like the larger machines.

Miller 211 AutoSet
July 25, 2012
What a great machine. If you're like me - you occasionally need to weld light gauge to 3/8 and in between, this is a great option. My ineptitude as a welder is mitigated by the easy to set, easy to use 211. Loading wire is a breeze, and you have the option to load both small or medium sized spools (up to about 10 pounds). If you switch between flux core and wire, you'll find it easy and fairly quick to do so. Setting the speed and temperature are so easy and foolproof, even the occasional welder - like me - can do a decent to great job on any project. and the MVP plug is worth it's weight in gold.
Pros
  • Set it, and forget it
  • MVP plug
  • duty cycle is superior to others in the segment
  • the simplicity of loading wire
Cons
  • Leads are a bit short - another 10 feet would be ideal
