Welds very, very smooth.

While I'm neither trained or certified, and my welds are often on the ugly side, I do use a welder almost daily. I had an excellent little red 140a mig machine I purchased new in 2005, it's still working happily in its new home. Having the need to weld thicker materials at 220v and still be able to run on 110v for portability is/was paramount for me, so it was time for an upgrade. And an upgrade it certainly is. Machine is underrated as others have mentioned, and will weld 1/2" for me easily, I'm sure I can go thicker. Welds look great, and much less spatter than my last machine. I've been using .030 and .035 solid wire with C25 gas on mild steel. Auto set feature does what it says, though I still use it manually often. Have yet to weld with flux wire, or on ALU. Minus one star for not offering the machine with a 15' gun, and for the super lame ground clamp (it's like a kid's toy). Extra purchases are a bummer, even with the good price. One note: coming from the red machine, I'm still having to adjust my start technique to "ever-so-slightly" wait - for the wire speed to stabilize. Feels like the machine is reading and adjusting the arc/feed in the half-second at trigger pull. I have used Miller welders before this purchase, but they did not have auto set... Once it settles on a happy place, it goes like crazy. So yeah, I'm adjusting my technique. Overall, a great machine so far.

Easy setup. Very light and I really appreciate that the wire drive appears to be all metal parts. The drive wheel adjustment process for different wire sizes is really clever and super easy to use. I really like the nice quiet fan and that it shuts off when not needed. Anyone could buy this machine, set it up and be welding in no time. I bought this machine because of its dual voltage capability, but it can still put out some serious power.

Sold my Hobart Handler 187 to upgrade to the 211. Cyberweld shipped same day and I had it 2 days later. Set up was a breeze, and I welded up a project that Saturday. Man this machine makes it look easy. Welds were so smooth and arc start was great. I only had to lightly buff the welds and they went to paint. Nicest MIG welds I have seen to date. It's amazing what technology has done with these new MIG machines. Have been welding for 45 years, but anyone can do a good job with these new Miller welders. The upgrade was definitely worth the cost, and it matches my Miller 375 plasma on the cart....LOL.

Purchased this to upgrade from a plain 90amp flux welder. First must commend Cyberweld on how fast they ship products. Their shipping is hard to beat, very fast. I have only used the miller 211 connected to 220v. I have tested the auto mode welding 14ga material and while it worked quite well I found it just a bit hot for my liking. Switching to manual mode and using the guide also is a bit hot. I switched to 16ga and it is just right on 14ga material. I use C-25 and the welds this machine produces are amazing. I am actually hard pressed to even find any splatter, I have not tried the unit with flux core as yet. My welds look amazing. I was going to get the Hobart 210 but the rebate on this brought it to within 100.00 of the Hobart 210 price, It was well worth the extra money to cut 50 lbs of weight off the machine.

I'm a residential builder and occasionally need something fabricated on short notice. My regular welders have been so backed up that I decided to purchase this with the intention of handling small projects and modifications myself to keep things moving and I'm SO glad I did. This is the best home use welder I found. It is great for small jobs but will easily handle big ones if need be. Having the option for 110v is also a great feature.

Only a few welds with new machine so far but I am totally impressed. Been about 6 months since last welding project, and my first welds with this machine look better than any I have ever done. Used on 110v welding 1/8 and some 1/4 mild steel and it is plenty hot with power to spare. Really like this machine and highly recommend.

So far this welder has exceeded my expectations , the auto-set is spot on. I weld a lot of fifty year old sheet metal and burn thru has become a thing of the past. Excellent welder so far.

MILLER - Amazing welder, second one I've own (Eastwood is my first), feels like going from driving a Honda to a Cadillac. The build is so solid, light and powerful (settings run a little hot, too much power is a great problem to have, FYI). Had a quick question when setting up a new 6-50 outlet for the 220 plug, called Miller customer service, asked for a technician, he picked up the phone after one ring and answered all my questions thoroughly. Phenomenal customer service, I imagine that's why people stick with them. Also, just want to say that the customer service from Cyberweld was truly the best I've ever dealt with. The package got lost for a couple days by Fedex and Amber from Cyberweld immediately got on the phone, called the local Fedex office got a hold of a few people and sent a search out for the driver who "delivered" the package. I didn't have to push at all, she said if it got lost, they would send me a new one. Luckily it showed up a couple days later, either way with Cyberweld I would have been fine. Thank you!

What a welder. Welded with the spool gun on 1/4" steel plate. What a beautiful machine. Used .035 and argon/co2. I did not have a chance to use it until now even though I bought it this summer. Can't wait to use the aluminum. That will be in two (2) weeks, provided I can get another tank. (used 220 volts)

This welder is awesome.

The Miller 211 Mig Welder is a very nice piece of equipment. Perfect for the Light to Medium Duty projects. Quality seems to be fair to above average. The Auto-Set option works without any issues. However, when using the chart specified on the side panel, the amperage seems to be higher than required. I would give this machine 5 stars if it weren't for the pathetic ground clamp. Miller should be ashamed of themselves for placing such a cheap piece on one of their machines. So be prepared to purchase a decent ground clamp should you decide to purchase this welder.

The last time I did any welding was stick welding in high school 50 years ago. I thought I would spend the extra money and get a better welder than average for my projects. After about 1 hour of practice with this welder I feel I can tackle most anything and look like a pro. Thank you Miller for building such a great welder

Actually, I haven't even plugged it in yet. The 2 month long drawn-out rebate and the form was very confusing for me, I'm still not sure if it was done right. If someone somewhere could follow up on this it would be nice! This is a Miller issue, as far as Cyberweld goes, they were great in all ways and have many very good brands and supplies. These people were on top of their game and always very helpful indeed..... they seem to be truly honest business people.

i have used my dad's mig welder a half dozen times, that's all the welding experience i have. i got tired bugging my dad to do my welding projects or using his welder, so i did a lot of research and the millermatic 211 was the best bang for the buck. this welder is so easy to use it makes me look like i know what i'm doing! Had a Northern Tool welder before this. No comparison. This thing is simple to use and makes great welds. I have used on 120vac and 240vac. Works great with both. 3/16" or less with 120vac ticket with 240vac

I purchased this to do repairs to some metal patio furniture that needed feet and other repairs. I am a novice when it comes to metal work but the auto set feature has really helped. now that i have finished this project I have a lot more confidence to take on more. I would say that in the right hands this welder would be capable of great things.

I bought this welder as a replacement of another brand I got from a home improvement store 10 years ago, I needed a better quality welder and all I can say after I used this Miller is WOW! I haven't used the 120 but just using it with 110 is great, I have never been able to get such great consistent welds ever. Cyberweld delivered quickly and the price was right.
