Best deal around... really quick shipping and awesome products... You want a welder to do it all, I highly recommend the 190.

I love it

I am a homeowner and hobbyist welder. I have a few projects coming up for the Miller 190 to include welding Ramps for a gooseneck trailer. I have the initial welds just to set it up. Then grabbed some old saw blades and welded them together. They are about 1/8 thick. I have never used the auto set feature so I dialed it in according to the Miller preferred settings. It welded perfectly. I also attempted to get the machine warm but I could not get the temp light to come on. I welded 4 runs on a high enough setting that it was about to melt through the saw blades at a moderate pace. The runs were over 7" long and heavy. The light never came on. It just laid it down! I would highly recommend this Miller 190. The uses for this machine wouldn't include industrial welding though. If I wanted to do some heavier steel I would recommend the 252. Bang for the buck on lighter steel i.e. 1/4 and below Miller 190.

Nice heavy duty welder but light in weight
April 16, 2015
It's my first 220V mig welder and I'm certainly impressed with it's ability to weld heavy metals.
Pros
  • Easily set up. Instructions were good.
Cons
  • the auto set feature seems to feed the wire too fast. It just might be taking some getting used to

Millermatic 190 - I LOVE THIS MACHINE
March 30, 2015
I love this welder. Smooth, clean, and consistent welds. It is compact and light weight but offers plenty of power. I wish I had pulled the trigger and purchased this last year. I have been asking every one I know for welding projects just to have a reason to us it. Long torch assembly gives you plenty of reach.
Pros
  • Plenty of Power for its class
  • Smooth Arc
  • Consistent Wire Feed
  • Light Weight
  • Affordable

Unbelievable difference
January 22, 2015
I bought this welder to upgrade from a 110v unit, where I kept running up against the duty cycle. I had been looking at good quality MIGs for awhile and when I saw this 220v autoset unit come out with inverter based technology, I jumped on it...and I'm so glad I did!!! I haven't stopped welding with this machine since I got it. On Saturday, I purposely pushed it HARD...I was welding sides in a trailer, and welded for 2 hours straight with no more than 10 minutes of down time...this welder never missed a beat, and the overtemp light never came on, despite me pushing it hard on purpose. Not only that, but the quality of welds with this machine ate so much better than the unit it replaced.
Pros
  • Autoset works great, lightweight, extremely forgiving, exceptional duty cycle...and a great value through CyberWeld!!
Cons
  • None at all

Easy setup
December 18, 2014
Set up went fast and the unit welds as I expected it to. The lighter weight of this unit allows me to be mobile if a family member or friend needs something repaired. I've used both the auto-set and manual functions and can see very little, if any, difference in the finished welds. This unit is a replacement for an older 180 with only 5 fixed heat settings. This does a superior weld on auto-set yet it allows me more control in manual mode if I'm welding different thicknesses of metal.
Pros
  • Weight is the primary plus for me.
Cons
  • None

This is almost like cheating!
December 10, 2014
I'm by no means an experienced welder. But this welder almost makes me look like one. It starts very politely and the the weld flows like cream.
Pros
  • Small
  • Light
  • Fan only comes on as needed
  • Changing wire sizes is a two minute job
  • The arc is very tolerant of changes in stick out
Cons
  • None
